Course Description:
This session explores the Short and Long-Stay Pressure Ulcer/Injury Quality Measures, including definitions, measure logic specifications, and how pressure ulcer development impacts quality outcomes, Five-Star ratings, and survey risk. Participants will review MDS coding requirements, common documentation pitfalls, and the relationship between assessment accuracy, care planning, and quality measure performance. Best-practice strategies will be shared to support prevention, early identification, and compliance across the interdisciplinary team.
