Course Description:
Facilities continue to face increased challenges in meeting the Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care needs of their residents. This session will provide an overview of the critical components of an effective LTC Behavioral Health program. Regulatory requirements will be reviewed, and tools and tips will be shared to assist the facility in demonstrating a comprehensive grasp of the elements necessary to support compliance with this aspect of care.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the regulatory requirements r/t Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care.
- Identify strategies for assessing and care planning the Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care needs of residents.
- Become familiar with tools and tips for completing Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care documentation and QAPI auditing.
Course Content
- 20 min: Review of Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care Regulatory requirements.
- 20 min: Identify and discuss strategies for assessing and care planning of resident Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care needs
- 15 min: Recognize tools and tips for effective documentation and QAPI auditing of Behavioral Health and Trauma Informed Care needs.
- 5 min: Questions and Answers
