Course Description:
This session focuses on organization and time management for serving effectively as the Director of Nursing, with an emphasis on effective leadership, and staff engagement. There will be an overview of daily responsibilities and expectations, and an examination of successful strategies for delegation of nursing department duties that represent a day in the life of an effective DON.

- 20 minutes Review of common daily and weekly responsibilities
- 15 minutes Review of common monthly and quarterly responsibilities
- 10 minutes Strategies for effective planning and delegation of nursing department duties
- 10 minutes Tips for ongoing nursing systems oversight
- 5 minutes Closing Comments/Q&A
