Description: The Arizona Health Care Association is pleased to host the AHCA Quality Forum on Minimum Data Set (MDS), Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) and ICD-10. This Quality Forum will provide an in-depth review of the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) with focus on MDS coding accuracy and ICD.10 coding for SNF Part A reimbursement. Participants will deepen understanding of the logistics of the model and become better prepared to promote and ensure MDS and ICD.10 coding efficiency, overcome common obstacles and reduce missed opportunities in Medicare reimbursement. Recent trends, risk areas and future updates expected will be discussed with extensive use of case studies and references to key sources. Emphasis of this session will be understanding the payment model, systems and best practices to promote quality assessments and interdisciplinary team operations with strategies to ensure payment accuracy and supportive documentation compliance.
