The Arizona Health Care Association is pleased to host “Behaviors and Aging: The Good, Bad, and Ugly” to skilled nursing and assisted living centers in Southern Arizona. This presentation will explore different aspects of behavioral issues and aging. What is normal? What is a mental disorder? What is normal aging? Is it just bad behavior? Different approaches to dealing with behavioral health issues and ways to address behaviors that are frustrating and at times harmful. De-escalation approaches will be presented that empower participants through experiential exercises to build skill and confidence professionally and personally.
