Heather is a native Tucsonan, and proud University of Arizona (UofA) Wildcat Alumni. Heather began her career in healthcare in 1992 as a dietary aide at Devon Gables. In 2003, Heather graduated from the UofA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. Over the next year, she completed a post-graduate internship for Aramark in Kansas City, Missouri, earning her status as a registered dietitian. She completed an Administrator in Training Program at Devon Gables, and she became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2006. Heather took over as Administrator at Devon Gables in 2007 where she has proudly served since.
Heather strongly supports the advocacy mission of AHCA by traveling to congressional briefings in both Phoenix and DC to represent and make sure our voices are heard in order to gain fair reimbursement and regulatory relief. She also supports education in the Southern region by ensuring that we have the opportunity to work together on tabletop exercises to meet regulatory requirements for disaster preparedness and a variety of other topics. Heather looks forward to continuing to work and represent our beautiful southern region! This is her fourteenth term as an AHCA Board member.
